Description Well, here it is, sorry it took so long, I've been quite busy. If you have any tips on how I can improve my inking, fire away. I'm pretty pleased with this piece overall, espiecally the crosshatching as it was my first time trying that.

Ahh yes...I'm a-lookin'a t some of yo' Spawn stuff. I remembered the pencil version of this one, so a critique I feel is in order (plus ya kinda wanted me to as well ).

Ya did a good job on inking, I will say. But (donchya fear that?), there are some things to keep in mind in the future when you ink.
Try and vary up your lineweights. Ya did okay with it on the bottom part near the spotted areas but try to change those weights within the cloths. Not all the folds will have the same amount of modeling or light to them, neither should your lineweights. Have a nice medium weight line closest to your lightsource and a heavier line further from it. And the folds in between the outer contours shold also vary in weight. As well, the larger chains should have a heavier line around them because they are closer to us, emphasising the space in the picture plane.

That's my , do with it want you want.

I appreciate you stopping by
The stuff about the cloth makes sense, I wish I would have thought of that before, I will keep that in mind for future reference. I did try to make the larger chains have a thicker line weight, but maybe it wasn't enough. I'm only using a .3(?) micron, do they come in different sizes? Because to get a thicker line, I have to draw over it again, and widen it that way, and it is tedious......

Indeed Microns come in all differentg sort of sizes. They are:
005 (finest line there is)
01
02
03
05
08
1
2
3
Brush pen

I use the 02 and 08 pens the most. I've found that I can get a nice variety of lineweights with just those two pens. In fact, sometimes I'll use just the 08 (like the T-Rex doodle). I'll also use the 1 pen to get a really nice heavy line when I don't feel like killing my 08. I'm not too big on the brush pen, but I've used it from time to time. They are sold in packs of 5 I believe, with the 01,02,03,05, and 08. The 1, 2, and 3 are sold in a three pack.

Thanks, the detail is really what took me so long on this piece. It's not nearly as detailed as the orginal cover by Miki (go figure), actually I was just able to get my hands on that issue of Spawn, which was cool.

looks like the detail would of taken forever, expecially when its inked. Would of been impossible for me.
