This is a birthday gift for a dear friend of mine, , who if you remember, made this drawing for me for my birthday: www.deviantart.com/duskyvel/ar…

Well, this drawing was part of the plan too, and was conceived around late June, and was pretty easy to draw, but the problem was, I did it too early. But the good thing was that this gave me time to revise it, and revise I did. I originally based the skull off of Tracy Ford's reconstruction of PMU.R 1250, the holotype of Parasaurolophus tubicen: www.paleofile.com/imges/Dinosa…

But I wasn't satisfied with the look of it, the crest seemed too short and narrow, so I instead chose to base the skull off of NMMNH P-25100, which I had seen a cast of at this year's Dino Fest (at the Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History) with sta.sh/0r2q9d37clh sta.sh/021iz0ewrgu3 Honestly, I was much more satisfied with choosing this specimen, it was quite enormous and complete, and I'm still at awe at how enormous this thing was! But aside from the skull, the rest of the drawing was a piece of cake (no pun intended).
