Peeta and Katniss in Chibi form. I had to draw these two after all the, pardon the language, shit they went through in the books. And I can never draw chibis...but these turned out okay! Heck to the YES!I'm surprised Katniss looks so...sweet. Then again, I think Peeta brings out some of the best sides of her. I've always been a supporter of Peeta and Katniss- though I liked Gale well enough up until the third book. Peeta's basically the best character ever, no doubt about it. I think he is just what Katniss needs; softens her up a bit, brings out a protective flare, sees the best in her and helps heal her emotionally, makes her smile, etc. But, since Katniss had her own agenda for a while, I always imagined he would always be really excited to hear her say "I love you" unprompted or scripted...and mean it.
Yes...I put Peeta in a fairly girly apron.
But...in a strange way...it suits him, I think. He's so sweet. And, anyways...who wouldn't love a guy who can cook I ask you? Gotta love the Baker's Son....If you haven't read The Hunger Games Trilogy... GO READ THEM! NOW! THE BOOKS COMPEL YOU! This series kept me holed in my room for four days until I finished all three books...and even then made me draw fanart. Not many series can do that. It's a really intense, fast paced story- not one dull moment in them.

Adorable! I love them in chibi style and I love how they're donning their trademark gear. (Peeta's wearing his apron and Katniss has her bow and arrow.) That really portrays their personalities well.

I was on vacation and brought the first book to read in the car upon the suggestion of a nice lady at the bookstore. I'd never felt compelled to read it because the summery didn't do it justice. Anyway, after finishing the first in a matter of a day and half (I was at the beach, that's why) I promptly had to get the second. Read that, then almost died when I heard there was a third and HAD to read it right away. Never has a book series made me do that.

It's a really addictive series...I didn't eat, sleep, or talk when reading it. I got all three books at once (I'm late on jumping on the band wagon, as per usual) and then couldn't stop reading them.

I didn't MIND Gale so much until the third book. And then I stopped liking him as a character period. He not only lied to Katniss about period; he made a bomb that could kill thousands...and played on human sympathies, which is the most cold hearted thing I can imagine. I think Katniss sums it up pretty well in the end; she needed Peeta's healing powers, sweetness, and forgiveness...not Gale's anger and rebellious destruction.

Definitely! And then it could have been his bomb that killed Prim! He just doesn't seem like what's best for Katniss. Katniss needs someone to bring out her softer side and remind her that life is okay, and things get better and go on. All Gale ever did was guilt her into rebelling, lie to her, or work on killing people. Katniss has already been through enough! She needs someone who can make her smile...
