This hunky chap was a long awaited commission! He'd been sat half painted on my shelf for quite some time after finishing sculpting him.He is a mink rat, but he is a rather browny mink - rather than the obvious blue sheen. I don't know much about rat varieties, I am slowly learning there is more than simply brown, black and white though!
I am quite happy with this one, but I have noticed I need to vastly improve my feet, making them more organic. It was also rather hard getting his 'rolls' in without insulting his memory.
Polymer clay over a wire and foil armature. Painted with acrylics and sealed with Citadel Purity Seal.
Commissions of 5-7 inch rats like this chap start at £105 GBP

He is gorgeous. I just wanna pet him. 
Feet are one of the hardest things for me. They either look too cartoon simple or turn into weird monkey feet.

I fear I will be having mucho issues with feet for a looong time! My dog's feet wanted to be fingers for most of the process...as long as I don't make a horse I should be ok!
