haha woot for being in the same boat. XD Maybe one day anatomy will come to me magically. Fat chance but an artist can dream, no? At least you're drawing people with bodies. Even for a rough drawing, I see you've got a grasp. I'm scared of anything past the chest. And hands are particularly frightening.

Bodies are scary to draw. :< I figure it'll take me forever to learn how to draw them if all I'm ever doing is gingerly dipping my toes into the water, as it were, so I've decided the best remedy is to figuratively throw myself into the middle of the sea and learn to swim from there. Hahah. And everyone can watch me struggle and splutter all the meanwhile. Also I should probably try using some reference. Yeahhh.

Well, since Yuumei's absolutely amazing, I'm taking her advice: practice with references. build a foundation from copying from photos and such. So that's what I've been trying with faces as of late and I'd say I've improved.

Yuumei's work is lovely! And for sure, observing real faces will do wonders to your ability to be able to draw them. (You can't draw what you don't know, you know?)

"You can't draw what you don't know, you know?"
^True that! And THAT is why I have been sketching a lot more lately. And I must say, I have been missing out. I thought it wouldn't be very satisfying to draw a whole bunch of quick doodles, but it's actually pretty gratifying.

I find it is pretty satisfying indeed to get a bunch of quick little doodles done, especially if you can really capture the essence of what you wanted to convey. I think that's the biggest part of sketching for me. Using the fewest lines to convey the most!
