Description He is one of my favorite modern writers.
I really want to make his Story of mr Sommer as my graduation project on animation faculty, and I will, goddammit!
And I hate the fact, that everybody love Perfume so much. It's the most simple of all his books (it doesn't mean that I don't like this book, but still x)))

I haven't read much of his work, but if you say Perfume is simple, I think I am going to like the rest of his books.

Perfume is the only Suskind's book I've read so far, but I have a really strong memory of it... its story (and its lead character) is simple yet disturbing.

I won't lie, Perfume was the first of his books that I read, but then I finally branched out and read his other books, too.

Hmm...I haven't heard of him (then again I'm in high school and I have yet to read many great authors X3) but I must lookk into him now. Is there anything you can suggest as a first time reader of his work?

I've been planning to read some of his novel for quite some time, because mr Sommer is all I've read so far and it completely stole my heart

Well, Perfume was really original, that's why people like it so much, it's so much different from other books, the idea to describe the whole world and being of his character using the sense of smell (in fact i really like it too), but I found story of mr sommer so much greater! I looove this book, is one of my favourites!

Perfume is the only one I've read, so I have to buy some other books if you say he's that good ;]
Maybe everybody loves Perfume the most because it's so simple?

Really? I think the Perfume was very well written, the descriptions were so complete than dialogues were not even needed o.o
It took me some years to understand the end, though XD
