lolnah.. i know i havent drawn anything like THIS for a while so i thought of doing one today on DA's special day. i didnt wana use up all my hype for drawing because im saving it for my school art major which is a HUGE collage of drawn faces

I love pencil work and this has to genuinely one of the best pieces I have seen. Its shaded so well and looks so pretty. Very well done

Two hours was mighty fast. Another good tip that I've told a number of people on here (and have to remind myself time to time) is that you may think you're finished when really you're far from it.
I find that making EVERYTHING (other than highlights) another two shades darker than it currently is really helps.

yea i know.. lol i usually takes me about 2hours to draw. i draw on the way home from work most times. Thank you for your advise it really does help and thanks for taking the time to write back

WOw Dude this is awesome! i hope to be this good someday pastels? arent they messy? im going to try to draw this one it looks like an amazing challenge! but i dont think i could use pastels? how was it when you did it. was it difficult!

Charcoal pencils
To me, portraits test my patience more than anything else. But when I first started, the vital things to learn was shading, and after shading you have to redraw the details - otherwise it's blurry.
