Thank you!
Yes, I am rather proud of his face. I did discover a bit late that colored pencils are really bad at layering/mixing, however, and nearly ruined his eyes...

This is great. XD Sawyer so would. Poor Colfax would be nagged constantly.

Sawyer now has the ability to get all up in a human's face, and he is going to use this power to the max!
Colfax, meanwhile, is trying to do science or magic or something, and had begun to contemplate the virtues of a tornado in a bottle. Or a jar, or that fishtank. Somewhere away fron the important studies.

That's what he means. XD
Sawyer will find a way. He's persistent and determined to get that grump's attention. XD He will tap on the window if he has to.

Just so long as Colfax doesn't give up and try to study him. Considering that Sawyer's insisting on being right there, he shouldn't be too hard to observe, right? Right?

After all, Colfax isΒ writing his paper on small, non-human mammals. Which Sawyer is!
Haha, pest! You will not go away? Prepare to be scienced!

Even if he is also a dustdevil. There are people out there who would want to do science on him in more serious way than Colfax would. And much more insistently. So it would be best not to have to world know about him and his kind...

This is true. u_u Better Colfax than anybody else. But also Colfax please don't publish all that in your paper. Secrecy is important.

I get the feeling that Colfax would just science Sawyer because A. Sawyer's being annoyingΒ again, or B.Β he's bored and doesn't want to work on actual paper.
And then he writes up all the Sawyer Science, but doesn't turn it in to anyone, just holds onto it to show people like Adrian, Charlie, and Sawyer's family.

He so would. XD Much to Sawyer's protests. Because he doesn't like Colfax science, it's no fun (for him, at least).

Phoenix-FireMage In reply to LaEscritora [2015-12-07 04:40:13 +0000 UTC]
Hm... what sort of Science would Colfax do on Sawyer? Taking copious notes on his habits? Poking him? Recording his height and weight? Putting him in annoying situations and seeing how he gets out of them?

LaEscritora In reply to Phoenix-FireMage [2015-12-07 04:53:31 +0000 UTC]
I think the answer is D. All of the above. XD Definitely. Science.

Phoenix-FireMage In reply to LaEscritora [2015-12-07 04:56:23 +0000 UTC]
SCIENCE.
...Sawyer in a cardboard maze, told that there is a treat at the end. Keeping in mind that this is dustdevil Sawyer... that cardboard maze is gonna be flat in a few seconds.

LaEscritora In reply to Phoenix-FireMage [2015-12-07 15:58:33 +0000 UTC]
Oh definitely. XD Why bother with the puzzle when you can just blast your way to the end?
π: 0 β©: 1
Phoenix-FireMage In reply to LaEscritora [2015-12-07 16:04:24 +0000 UTC]
XD
The only way to get him to do it right... is to have Colfax hold on to the treat, and only give it to him if he gets to the end without breaking anything.

LaEscritora In reply to Phoenix-FireMage [2015-12-07 16:06:50 +0000 UTC]
Haha that's clever. XD It really might be the only way. Even then he'll probably try to climb up onto the cardboard walls or something.

Phoenix-FireMage In reply to LaEscritora [2015-12-07 16:20:07 +0000 UTC]
And Colfax will have to tell him no, you need to stay on the floor of the maze to win the treat.
Or put a piece of glass over the top.

LaEscritora In reply to Phoenix-FireMage [2015-12-07 16:36:28 +0000 UTC]
Sawyer will argue against the glass top. XD Sticking to the floor it is.

Phoenix-FireMage In reply to LaEscritora [2015-12-08 00:53:19 +0000 UTC]
Very. If there's a glass top, then he can't make a quick escape of another human comes in.

LaEscritora In reply to Phoenix-FireMage [2015-12-08 02:35:54 +0000 UTC]
He can't make a quick escape at all really. That's just not something he's comfortable with. XD

PL1 [2015-12-06 20:11:09 +0000 UTC]
XD Omg. Colfax looks so done. So 110% done. XD Sawyer would definitely do this.

Phoenix-FireMage In reply to PL1 [2015-12-06 20:24:33 +0000 UTC]
He is so done. Sawyer won't stop. The young scientist may be contemplating the values of a 'tornado in a bottle'.
Bonus: the lineart was almost entirely drawn with a tiny piece of pencil lead. Just like Adrian's pictures in the sequel, except for a different reason.
