Lurai is a rather easy going girl, despite her serious demeanor at first. She rather likes people and enjoys the company of others, though she might not have something to say all the time and will just sit there quietly and listen. She holds her friends and family in very high regards and is extremely protective over them. So much as insulting one of them while in her presence will result in a punch to the face and quite an earful. She is a very open person and doesn't at all mind saying what she thinks about someone. Only when asked or angry at said person, however. Otherwise, she'll keep her opinion about them to herself until then. The last think Lurai would want is to hurt someone simply by saying how she felt about another person. It's a slight uncertainty she has with people.
Being a person who's lived in a city trapped underwater for a majority of her life, Lurai is a very curious person about things from other worlds and how they work. Especially towards technology. She loves new things and attempts to learn as much about them. However, her interest can be lost rather quickly and she tends to stop researching at the middle of it all and move on to something else. Her birthplace is also the cause of another trait of hers; naivety. Curious as she is about things she doesn't know, Lurai will often believe what the first person tells her about it if it makes enough sense to her. Often times, she doesn't change her mind about it either.
Despite the fact that she seems to be a bubbly ball of unfocused energy, Lurai is actually a very calm and level headed person. Stressful situations tend to be met with rational thinking and quick planning. It takes a lot to make her panic and when she does, you know things are going South fast.

History:
Lurai's childhood was like any other normal childhood for Atlantean children. Her life was filled with exploring, playing with her pet beetle tiger , and getting fish heads thrown at her by Tainor. It's okay though; she threw them back. And that was how the first few hundred years of her life went.
She was always a curious child, often exploring on her own to see what sorts were on the island of Atlantis. Soon enough, she was accompanied on her getaways by Tainor. It was a friendship that grew and remains strong even now. Over the years, Lurai's curiosity about...well, everything grew. And then the island surfaced. She learned there was an entire world out there! More than just one! She wanted to explore and see all of it. She spent years on the viramas on the island, studying them; learning them; figuring out how every part and gear worked in the machine in case something went wrong.
Lurai met an outsider one day, the strangest day. He just... fell off a miniature cliff and landed on her. She didn't get the chance to yell at the man though because they were soon joined by these strange black creatures. One might think they were cute. They terrified her, however. Still, she stayed to try and fight this stranger who landed on her. They... they had his strange weapon though that helped them win. A... A key? It was so odd. After they were defeated, the stranger with the weird weapon started talking to her. He mentioned some weird creatures called the heartless and about his keyblade. He made her grab onto it, placed his hand over her heart, and suddenly a warmth spread through Lurai's body. And then it ended and Lurai punched the man and stormed away because what sort of person just puts their hand over a girl's breast like that?
About a week after that incident with the stranger, Lurai went exploring by herself on her virama. During this exploration, the girl stumbled across a cave, it was more like a massive crack in the wall too small for her vehicle to fit through. Vehicle-less and unarmed, she went inside to explore. Things went South for her very fast after this. After managing to get herself a bit lost, she came across those strange yet terrifying heartless. They swarmed her. Lurai ran from them, throwing rocks or whatever she could get a hold of to try and fight them off. They cornered her and backed Lurai off a ledge. Instead of hitting the hard ground far far below, she hit...water? To explain what had happened would be nearly impossible. All Lurai would be able to tell was that, one moment she was drifting through...the ocean(?) all the way down to a place of stained glass and strange creatures. The next, she opens her eyes to find she had never fallen at all and there was a strange weapon in her hands that worked against the little black creatures. Somehow, she managed to fight the heartless off and get out of there.
At home, she said nothing of what happened. Not even to Tainor. Well, not at first. She was too busy thinking. Those creatures weren't like anything she'd ever seen before. What if there were more out there? What if there was worse? What if there were people like that stranger? Her curiosity for the world outside grew more and more. There was only one way to satisfy that curiosity though; she had to leave. And so, Lurai told Tainor of her plans to leave, packed up, and hopped onto her varima. Surprisingly enough, Tainor decided he would come along. "To keep her out of trouble," he had told her. Lurai thought it was bs. Still, she was more than happy he was leaving with her. Together, they left Atlantis and have been traveling around since.
