First of all, yes, it is edited! Very edited! I changed the color and contrast using GIMP.I took the original photo in Honolulu, Hawaii in 2005. Beautiful place!
EDIT: I straightened the horizon, which was fairly crooked before. This meant I had to crop the edges a little, but everything still looks more or less intact. I hope no one minds!

Thank you for mentioning that! I meant to straighten the horizon, and then I got distracted and totally forgot, and probably would have continued to forget. I am so glad you reminded me. I adjusted it now, and I think that made it look a lot better.
