I, too, tore through Deathly Hallows at breakneck speed, and suffered three days of post-Potter brain mush. Then my friend called me, and we got to talking about the book. Among the various heady topics we cudgled to death was the fancy of what it meant to Voldemort to be connected to Harry's brain...sure, sure--we all know it sucks for Harry to get blinding visions of torture and hate, but how annoying must it be for the Dark Lord to revisit the pangs of adolescence? What other Potter whims and thoughts would float unbidden through his mind? Would You-Know-Who, like Harry, spontaneously emote to the room at large whatever his enemy was experiencing?

More to the point, in DH, there's this one scene where Hermione has to go and forage for food, and all she can find are some mushrooms. She says they're okay, but....
