Paracordis's Phoenixdex EntryWhen Parasect evolves into Paracordis, the large mushroom on its body produces several others that also leech energy from the bug host—they absorb so much, in fact, that they drain the bug of all color and leave it completely white. The mushroom on its head does pretty much all of the thinking, and it usually drives the bug to find new hosts—it batters them into submission with its heavy claws, leaving them helpless while the mushrooms spread their spores.
Also the mushrooms make it more badass. The end.

maybe another description should be the two are now in sync not one controlling the other as the bug gives the mushroom food and the mushroom protects them

Wow. I am a Fakemons addicted and now that I've finally submitting mines to DA, I went to look arround and see what I could find. Most were poorly drawn or lacked criativity. I did find some good and interesting ones but this...
I never thought I would get such a welcome suprise from a pokemon like Parasect! this is indeed awesomely drawn and the concept is perfect. I like your boldness. When you make an evolution, you don't just exagerate features or add details, you have the guts to completely change the pokemon's pallete and, yet, fit him better than anyother evolution could have.

Never considered an evolution for Parasect until seeing this. It's really neat, & sadly it seems that this bug has officially drained the host. Wonderful job.

Yeah, I think you'd kind of have to hunt for them, and unfortunately I don't remember who created most of them. I know I've seen a few as create-an-evo contest entries, though.

This thing is fucking awesome. I wish it was forealz so I could use it and so parasect wasn't so lame. :[
One thing though: shading with gray is generally a no-no. Try using a blue or purple or red or really just anything other than gray. Gray just looks... boring. :\

Actually, though, that *is* blue--it's what people generally use when trying to emulate Sugimori. Possibly it might've been a little faint or desaturated in this case, but yeah... definitely blue.

Maybe, but just not choosing the blue carefully enough could still be it. White is kind of a hard color to strike a good balance on, hrr.

I like to shade on a different layer, use a stronger shade of blue (or whatever) and set it to multiply/soft light/whatever. If the colour's off I play with hue/saturation.

Usually I use different layers, same shade of blue with different opacity. Probably should try double-checking the saturation on the white images, though. Not a bad idea.
