Description
The large family of beetles has 32 species in Quebec. The "Variable beetle" is elongated and cylindrical with green-bronze elytra in the males. They appear in May and June and feed on foliage, without causing much damage to trees, although sometimes it swarms.
Dichelonyx is a small genus specific to North America.
