Description This was taken driving through New Mexico during a lighting storm.

Deviant art took it upon them selves to decide that this horse was a domesticated animal, and moved it from what I originally posted it under, which was wild animals. For those interested this
horse runs wild and free ( free roaming). But in technicality it is not a wild horse because his ancestors were domesticated. you can read up on this here if interested, what a real wild horse is. [link]

The composition on this one is just simply amazing! Brings the image of a wild horse travelling through the preirie following its nature and wilderness...

Thank you!
Indeed following nature & wilderness. Lighting from the storm spooked some horses at close range along the highway. My husband was not to thrill of my demanding getting out of the car to take this.
I am not sure that this was a very smart idea to have done, thinking back on the storm. So many lighting strikes, that I was able to photograph them easily. Darn! Only not during the moment I photographed this.
Yet I am still driven, to take images on impulse.

Thank you! but I could have never directed this. I am not sure that is exactly what you meant. This was what I call a grab shot. If my husband would not stop I was going to jump out of the moving car. He drove ahead for me and I quickly got out and photographed it.

Well DA is retarded because horses were wild before they were domesticated. While the technical term is feral, since the ancestors of the current horses living in the wild were domesticated, I'd still count this one as wild.

I apologize for adding so many things to favorites, but I really love most of your photos.

I do, but there is not much color anyway as it is stormy. It is a bluish grey tone.
