Description
This bird, which is found only on the Indonesian island of Bali, is critically endangered by extinction. The main reasons of endangerment are loss of natural environment and introduced predators. In 2002, the population in the nature are only 8 subjects!

I remember seeing this species in a zoo in the UK, loved it right away. It was quite a character and the plumage was gorgeous! I can't believe there are so few left in their homeland, hope there is still some way that they can survive... Two beautiful photos.
