These are gorgeous. The strange thing is that the beauty of the marbles is the colour, but they look great as black and white.
The child looks like he's showing the marble as some lind of identification on the last shot. Like an FBI agent walking into a crime scene.

wow, you're good. this is a great series. I love the crispness of all the lines. I especially like the use of light to not only illuminate, but highlight, the important parts of the shot. Even better is the way you have a great, soft contrast between the light and shadow. Nice work.

I really like the bottom picture with the black kid with the white marble. You could interpret many political ideas from that. And also same with the top one with the two black marbles and the one white marble.

I saw this faved on cryptorchid's page and I fell in love with it. Had to come and tell you that. I think the third shot is my favorite. The sequence you put them in is perfect. This is really a beautiful series. I've always been a sucker for black and white myself.

wow, wonderfully shot and put together... I have an emotional attachment to marbles. When i was little my sister had the nicest marbles... They were each one colour and clear glass, sometimes frosted and she never let me play with them. One day i was at school and I had a great conversation with this really neat bohemian type girl, when she had to go she reached into her bag and pulled out this pretty purple marble and gave it to me. I still have it. This just made me want to share. Beautiful work.

I'll agree w/ you about it as a representation of the human/object relationship, I can see that pretty easily... this is very well done overall.
My favorite frames are #1,3 and 5.. though the expression in 4 on your models face is perfect.

The top photo is my favorite. I love this series, and I do agree with the black and white comment. I am very surprised it doesnt have more comments, it truely deseres them, and a fav.
