Description The focus of this series is not simply the child, or the marbles. The importance lies in the relationship between the human and the object. This was all shot with a 35mm. For the tight D.O.F. I used magnifying lens attachments.

Nikon N70, Ilford Delta 100

i'd try some framing on these images -these are TDF material to me and not getting noticed -this is just awesome. good definition, balance/composition and playful - great mood evoking...love ti

I'd have to agree with Marcy...why did you cut off her finger?! Anyway, great attention to detail here. the b&w really serves the image well, highlighting the grit on the ground, and the worn fingernail. It's really an amazing DOF there...so narrow. Great shot.

Very nice piccy. Live the tight DOF selection. Something is bugging me tho... Did you manip the foreground of the pic to blur it? Good idea to keep focus on the hand/marbles, but the distinct edge between the blur and non blur areas is too harsh. You should have a transition between blurred and non-blurred areas. Always remember that hardly anything in nature and real life is straight, sharp and distinct. Shades of grey, eh? Keep up the good work tho!
