this is an update to the unusually large family pictured here [link] . . . . i had thought the number of goslings had been reduced from 16 down to 13, but in this photo, there are still 14most nests have seven eggs, or less, so i believe either one or two sets of parents were killed by predators, or they simply abandoned their eggs/young . . . the two adults taking care of this large group seem very comfortable with their expanded family, which shows there is always enough
to go around

they really do . . . probably not many more group photos ahead . . . you know how hard it is to get them all together as they become teenagers
