Thanks for the fave, Rob. I hate messing with shots. Especially ones that should stand up on their own, but this needed to have plenty of detail in the leather of the boots to tell the full, tough, working class story. I used HDR, but then did a bit of tone mapping that I honestly regret. I don't think it needed it. A lesson learned!

Me neither. I don't particularly use HDR except for exposure problems. I can't really get my head round tone mapping. I usually use HDR in PS if I use it at all, but I just thought, 'Go on, give it a go!'

go on. mine is PR7 4HZ when you get the marina, mine is the empty mooring on the end with the tree across the canal. The boat must have been out that day.
