I have realized that the appeal of third wave feminism and other social justice movements is that it absolves women and other nominally oppressed groups of the need to take responsibility for their successes and failures. The social justice movement mainly appeals to weak-minded and emotionally immature individuals who want to blame all of their problems on cis white men (much like the Nazis blamed all their problems on the Jews) rather than making the effort to address their own shortcomings themselves.
