BratkartoffelnTraditional German Fried Potatoes with Turkey and Cherry Tomaotes

- i cooked the potatoes the day before
- fried onions and bacon first, then the potatoes
- left the potatoes alone in the pan, they need to fry slowly
and it was delicious
thought i might share this with you
especially as dA has this category, so why not use it once?
it's not a very light meal, you know
but it's one of the most delicious and simplest to make
on the same time it's a lot you can mess up on this one, too
It is said, that a Cook is only as good as his Bratkartoffeln!
i liked mine...
and here in germany everybody would tell you, that the ones their mom made are always the best

achso ja wusste nur das fritieren fried heißt, naja die engländer und amerikaner frietieren eh alles dick mit fett und 10 schichten schokolade drum und dick teigmantel und danach ist man fetter als die freiheitstatur^^

hehe, that's cool
it can be quite easy, you just need:
onion, bacon, potatoes (cooked the day before) and parsley
fry the bacon, add the onion and let it go for like 2-4 min, then take it out
add fat and the potateos, make them as even as possible (best use a biiiiig pan 
leave them alone for like 10 min at middle heat, then turn them and wait another 10 min
add the onion and bacon and leave it in the pan for 2 min
then mix with the parsley and voilá!

The name, Bratkartoffeln is so difficult to pronounce! Is it derieved from word, breakfast?

no, it's from "braten"="to fry" and "kartoffeln"="potatoes"
breakfast goes like "frühstück" (which quite stupidly means "early piece" lol)
