Description Okay, so admittedly this is a real stretch ofΒ the term monster girls, but they're still technically not human. Only half human! So it counts. Kinda.
I've decided to use this series more to explore my headcannons of Greek mythology, using pictures and short stories to slowly build up my Greek mythos world.
But there will still be plenty of butts and spankings, don't worry.

So, let's talk demigods. Everyone wants to be a demigod.
First off, what is a demigod? It's the offspring of a god and a mortal being, typically human (gods love human booty). This results in a child that shares the body and race features of its mortal parent, but more represents a mortal version of its godly parent. The godly parent often overwrites much of the other parents dna, making the child more like them. That's just how immortal genetics work.
For an example, I choose offspring of the big 3: a son of Poseidon, a daughter of Hades, and a son of Zeus.

They all embody different features from their godly parent.

The son of Poseidon has obvious coloration differences, as well as a sea motif. He also fights with a trident and weighted net, like a retiarius, both of which are symbols of his father. He obviously embodies his father's sea faring aspect.

The daughter of Hades has pale, almost corpse like skin, and wears all black, and has a down demeanour. Hades is almost constantly depressed, so this is appropriate. She embodies the darkness and fear of her father.

The son of Zeus is big, muscular, wields a lightning bolt, and looks smug and confident at all times. He's pretty much a mini Zeus.

Also, as a note, demigods and heroes are often times interchangeable. Most Greek demigods become heroes, while most heroes are demigods. It's a little confusing sometimes.

(FUN FACT: The ancient Greeks believed their heroes to be "larger than life". This statement comes up several times in greek literature. Scholars believed this was simply a metaphorical meaning, to give the heroes a sense of grandeur and wow. But actually they meant it literal. Greek heroes were LITERALLY larger than life! As in, they were bigger than the average human. This is because the ancient Greeks found large human bones in a cave, and believed them to be a great heroes burial, adopting the belief that heroes were simply larger than your average human. But in actuality, what they found were cave bear bones! A now extinct species of bear.
Which is why the Greeks thought their heroes were bigger than normal humans.)

... And that's why I'm adopting this idea into my headcannon, where Greek demigods/heroes are simply bigger and better than the average human. A demigods height averages at 6ft, taller than the average human, but there are some deviations. Some demigods are short, but still much taller than normal humans, and some are much taller than 6ft, but not super tall.

There are also some other perks to being a demigod. Such as:

Super strength
Near invulnerability
Ageless beauty
Heightened senses
... To name a few.

Plus, there are the god specific powers, given to a demigod depending on who their godly parent is. These are varied and many, as each can come from a different an aspect of their godly parents. So even if they have the same parent god, they could have completely different powers.

Child of Apollo? You could be an amazing archer. Or a fantastic healer. Or a mystifying musician. Or burn people with sun beams.

Child of Dionysus? You could become super strong when intoxicated. Or break people's minds with the power of insanity. Or transform into a massive leopard!

Child of Demeter? Well, there's an obvious power over plants, but you could also have powers over certain plagues. Or transform into a massive giant. Or be born a horse!

Godly genetics are weird.

You have an equal chance of being born a stunningly beautiful super powered human being, as you do a hideous man eating giant, or flying golden ram, or winged horse.

But besides that, you're probably thinking to yourself, "Wow Pic! Being a demigod sounds awesome! Sign me up!"
But hold your winged horses buddy. There are some drawbacks.

Let's start from the top:

"You stand out."
It doesn't matter what you do, you will always stand out in a crowd. Cover yourself with robes, crouch down when you walk, it doesn't matter. People can tell you're of divine origins.
Even if you were born looking like a normal human, people can still tell you're not normal. They can simply sense it. You have a certain aura to you.

"You're stanky!"
You stink. Not to humans mind you, and it's not an actual oder either.
But monsters can smell it. They can smell your godly genes, and they'll come running!
You basically attract monsters to you, which leads to the next point-

"You can't stay in one place for too long."
Because monsters will swarm you. This leads most demigods to life a wander's life, going from place to place but never stopping for too long. They still need to interact with humans though, visiting villages for supplies, so living the hermit life style isn't an option either.

"You're not very popular with the locals."
Due to the whole, attracting monsters to you thing, not a lot of people want you hanging around.
Sure a village or even a city may welcome you with open arms, especially if they already have a monster problem, but they'll be sure to remind you it's time to leave in the morning.

And the biggest problem with being a demigod:
"Everybody is trying to kill you!"
Everywhere you go, you seem to find new people you've never seen before, who hate your guts specifically. Why is this? Well, like many of your problems, it has to do with your godly parent.
Gods are immortal, right? That means they can't get killed. Which is a problem when they hurt each other's feelings, which happens a lot because every god anywhere is super sensitive. The problem is they can't simply kill each other, and in most cases they can't even fight each other. But they don't get over it either! They simply stew in their anger and resentment, letting it build up inside them and never letting it go, holding a grudge against the other for the rest of their immortal life. We call this:
Beef.
But since the gods with beef can't take it out on each other, who can they take it out on? You of course!
Demigods are free game! They're mortal, they'll die eventually anyways so who cares right? So they send faithfully followers, despicable monsters, and even their own demigod children to kill you, all because of something your divine parent did long before you were born. Sucks right?
It's even worse if your Zeus's kid, as Hera will be gunning for you before you're even born!

And those are just some of the issues with being a demigod!
It's worth mentioning most live eventful short lives, never staying in one place for too long, constantly hounded by hungry monsters, irate citizens, or vengeful beings, earning the ire of a god simply for existing. The benefits are great, but the downsides suck just as much.

So it's up to you if you'd still prefer to be a demigod. But hey, if you do, tell me in the comments, and include which godly parent you'd prefer.

Also, look forward to another GMG pic this same time next week. It'll include more booty than this one, but it'll be just as unexpected. I bet no one can guess what monster it'll be! Actually, I'm so confident that no one can guess it, that I'll make a deal with you guys:

Whoever can guess next week's GMG, will get a free story!*

You've seen what I consider to be a "monster girl", which pretty much makes any greek mythological figure free game.
Everyone gets one guess. No spamming monster names. Also, it will be a GREEK mythological figure. Not gonna try and psych you out, saying it's from a different mythology. It is Greek.
I will give you one hint: it's female.
Not that that will help.
