Lux, in everyday conversation, is articulate in the way he converses with others, whether it be casual or work-related. In his younger years, he and his parents moved to London, England for the convenience of his parents' work - hence Lux was mostly left to his own devices, albeit not entirely. The main thing to understand was the conception of Lux; becoming severely affected by illnesses and underlying internal deficiencies his mother had experienced during pregnancy. The infectious disease he had contracted was harmful to Lux - particularly in the long-term - as doctors had little faith in his chances of a lengthy lifespan. He was not expected to live past 20.

Nonetheless this terrifying reality never stopped any of them from living (somehow) normally - his parents pushing responsibilities upon Lux, educating him becoming a top priority while doctors would frequently visit to check on him as a young child. However, with Lux's health as an issue, his parents had opted for homeschooling, keeping him from outside. In amidst of these unfortunate circumstances, Lux took to gardening at a young age along with reading of fictional novels and stories alike, oblivious to how he was ultimately viewed. His health never improved, and no one - especially himself - seemed to expect it to, with the final implications clear and understandable.

With his parents mainly at work and the tragic end becoming common knowledge to him, Lux remained sheltered and detached - with no real attachment to any occurrences in his life.

When Lux and his parents had been caught in amidst the invasion, they had been separated following this unfortunate ordeal. Like many others, he was imprisoned - Lux had come to the conclusion that without the help of his parents, he'd have to learn to cope without them.

In the later years following the invasion, Lux had unfortunately been taken in for experimentation, his fragile appearance and the knowledge of his poor health being made known. In Monsoros' hands, they had experimented much with the dormant cells and - much worse - the operative cells within Lux - and although it did not mean he was ultimately cured, his life expectancy had been extended considerably (approximately 10 years) which aimed and succeeded to work in the Monsoros' favour of being forced into the arena as a fragile individual who stood limited chances of survival. Fortunately for Lux, the experimentation somehow worked to his own favour, enhancing his strength in the process as well as his years in the arena allowing him for a stronger pain tolerance. However, despite this supposed miracle, Lux has maintained momentary and quite serious episodes where the side effects are prominent - with the exception of enhanced strength for the arena. Lux was ultimately prone to these said side effects - (i.e. dizziness and hyperventilation) - and was soon written off as a failed experiment. His forced time in the arena was strenuous and extremely detrimental to his health; the effects still impacting him to the recent day.

By the time rescue had arrived to pry him away from the control of the Monsoros, Lux was a teenager. This allowed him for much physical recuperation, able to control and understand the side effects he experienced as a result; however still remain a threat to his daily life.

Clearly, his following goal has been simple - to remain detached and indifferent to those he meets and things to which he experiences. Though along with the slight positive nature in the lengthening of his lifespan, Lux understands that it's still not enough for him to attempt creating any emotional attachments. Hence, he's determined to comply, comply, comply until he's alone in silence once more.
