Description First canine pattern! Introducing the new timber wolf cub. (The mother soon to come) This one half of an art trade with the wolf mother is the next half. He is about as big as my fawn, but with a skinnier body and altered head. Despite the spiral of crochet stitches it was straight enough to allow for a color change. It isn't as symmetrical as I would have liked, but that's crochet for you.

He is poseable as usual, expect since he has a fluffy long tail, I made that poseable too. The ears were the hardest thing. This little guy is so small and my thin triangle ears didn't look very good on him. So I had to make up something up. They are bushed on the back to be fluffy but not on the front to look crisper. I need some more practice with all over brushing. Its fine but it ends up all one length. The tail I made longer, but for things like the face certain areas need more fluff.

Eventually I will make some more of these, but I'm pretty much going to be busy for the rest of the month. I have a few canines in line, I wish I could keep them all long enough to take a picture together, but probably not. I'm always taking requests, but you might have to wait a little while. Just send me a note.

Thank you! That would be fun, I looked on your page to see what you can make. Do you think if we did a trade that you could edit your red panda to be a rind tailed lemur? You said it is made with minky but I know from trying to buy some for a baby blanket that its pretty expensive. Plain flannel or whatever kind of fabric would be fine with me.

For your half, would you like a pup of this coloring? I have an adult wolf to I just haven't put all the pieces together. Either would be fine to trade for me. I know we are both busy but if you still want to trade eventually I'll have a wolf waiting for you

You're welcome! Aw really? I'm glad you like what I have to offer! Yes, a ring-tailed lemur could be arranged, and minky is honestly my only type of fabric supply ^_^;; I actually already have the colors, so you don't need to worry about that. (the white and black are a bit more plush-y, but that could be nice considering the fluffy tail, I might be able to get some matching minky in black and white though--I've been meaning to for the longest time)

Yes, a pup of this coloring would be great! Just wondering, though--typically how long does it take for you to make one of these, and how big are they?

Pickleweasel360 In reply to CoffeeCupPup [2013-01-14 03:07:52 +0000 UTC]

Well if you already have the colors thats ok :3 I just didn't want you to have to use the expensive kind if you didn't have to. Just as long as its not all made out of felt. Felt is my enemy XD

Well I actually have some pieces of a wold pup already made also. One day I made a bunch of pieces for them but I never finished. I have one that just needs a tail, be put together, then brushed. So it probably be finished and shipped in 1-2 days.

Standing normally the pup is 4 inches tall and 5 inches long.

Haha thanks for thinking of that
Oh no. Absolutely not felt. @_@ In my book, felt is only for small little things haha!

Haha, it's nice to have parts. Hm..it usually takes me a couple of days (3-4) to make 1 of my little jointed dolls, would it be fair if it were 2 little wolves for a lemur?
(I really shouldn't be discussing a trade when I technically don't have them open...but it's just too cute)

Pickleweasel360 In reply to CoffeeCupPup [2013-01-15 03:04:28 +0000 UTC]

Felt annoys me its so scratchy and weird lol I sometimes use it for eyes but I think I'm going to have to use it for hair on little dolls. The yarn hair is just to bulky.

Well thats why I asked if you wanted an adult wolf instead, on my price guide the adult wolves cost the same as your red panda does. I cant do two pups but I can make an adult of the same coloring.

I know what you mean, I have projects to do this month but its nice to think about haha.

CoffeeCupPup In reply to Pickleweasel360 [2013-01-15 03:19:08 +0000 UTC]

Yeahhhh, felt just isn't professional for larger things haha!

Oh I see. How big is an adult wolf, and does it look the same as the 'lil guy? I could add some more flair to your lemur or add a little something else to make it fair for two pups maybe?

Yeah definitely is fun to think about.

Pickleweasel360 In reply to CoffeeCupPup [2013-01-15 03:45:29 +0000 UTC]

The adult has the same coloring with the gray being in the same spot. Standing normally the adult is 6 inches tall and 5 1/2 inches long not including the tail. Just one piece is all I can do unfortunately. The lemur would be put on a shelf I don't have any kids or friends with kids that would be coming over to play with it. I'll try to finish one and upload it this week to show you how they look. They always look better than what I can describe anyway lol

CoffeeCupPup In reply to Pickleweasel360 [2013-01-15 04:02:09 +0000 UTC]

Haha alright, that sounds like it could work just as well then. I'll wait It's not like either of us is in a hurry with trades...both of us being bogged down with other work as well!
Aww, yeah honestly that'd probs be about the same with the wolf--sitting on my printer at school probably, along with a bundle of my other plushes, and serving as a photo model when I have time. The lemur wouldn't have been meant for playing with much anyhow, since it's so delicately thread-jointed. More suited for photography and display.

Oh..... This is so great! Would you ever be willing to make a pattern for this or your pegasus? I can guarantee I would buy it eventually (within the year of you making it, the time depending on if I'm vying to go to the states for summer or not).
