So I've been working on this piece since September and it's FINALLY DONE!!

This is all WildcatWarrior 's fault, since she sent me this awesome song called Mutiny by Arshad when I put up a journal asking people to rec me a song. And the lyrics worked so perfectly with my story Outpost that I sketched this piece almost immediately...and then proceeded to take several months to finish it xD

I hardly ever properly talk about Outpost on here, so I should probably explain. It's set about 30 or so years after Eric's story, after a major societal collapse-turning-apocalypse. The main character, Kai, and a bunch of others end up hiding out in a scientific outpost in the mountains of Northern Kanterra, fending off starvation, hypothermia, mutant wolves and a mysterious character who seems intent on attacking them. It's actually the story I know most about plot-wise, although I hardly talk about it because it's characters are the least developed save a handful (I haven't even got the designs down for most of them)

The character in the centre is Kai, and the piece is supposed to represent his main character arc in the first two parts of the book, where due to reasons (including capture and manipulation), his mental state takes a turn for the worse. The shards show memories and important events/people/things and they've shattered and he's falling because his perception is warped and he can't make heads or tails of anything anymore and he just feels so lost. (and the purple electricity represents something else too but...spoilers)

Since I think some of the details will be lost in the full piece and each shard requires it's own explanation, I've made a folder in my sta.sh with a ton of Outpost meta to go with it ---> sta.sh/21oqx6dm9xxo - I've put a guide to where the biggest spoilers are if you want to avoid those for whatever reason xD I also talked a bit more about a particular segment here

Anyway, I really hope people like it because it took SO LONG! I felt I learnt quite a lot while doing it too, which is nice xD
