For the background I used the magic wand to select it all then I changed it to monocrome, then the dodge and blur tools.
On the model I used curves tool, a photo filter, the dodge and burn tools, blur tool, paintbrush tool and the clone tool.
I had no Idea what I was doing and I just played around with it quite a bit.
yeah most of the times we obtain the best effects just playing around

I also don't go for shots like these, but this one is quite different. I'm thinking I like it because of the perspective. It's just so odd, you know? Anyway, it's a great portrait. Nice edit of colors, too. ;D
