Well, at long last, I got a chance to finish my IZ/Gorillaz crossover mix. I know something like this had been done before but I wanted to take one step further. So here I go.
Members:
Zim-Murdoc Nicalls: Originally Zim was going to be 2-D. Lead singer, lead character, ya know? That sort of thing. However the more I looked into it, the more I began to realize that Murdoc made more sense with him. Green skin and long tongue aside, Zim also sees himself as a villein of pure evil. He has no regard for anyone other then himself. And yet theres something about him you can't but help just love. All of which related to Murdoc pretty well.
Did-Stuard"2D"Pot: Well, I knew I had to fit Dib somewhere into this and since Zim was already Murdoc, 2D was the next option. Theres not a whole lot that these two share in common. Other then the fact that they're usually the ones getting the short end of the stick. Though I have seen 2D wear glasses a few times.
Gaz-Noodle: This one was a no brainer for me. Gaz as Noodle just seemed fitting enough. While Noodle may be more cheerful then Gaz, Noodle also enjoys playing video games. Another thing about them is they both seem like very strong independent young ladies, who don't fallow the usual feminet clichés.
Skoodge-Russel Hobbs: Now for this one I've seen few IZ/Gorillaz pics where either Gir or Tak is playing Russel's part. But I don't agree with either one of those. Gir is much too crazy and Tak, I see her more as Paula Cracker rather then Russel. (A future pic idea I might do one day.) For me Skoodge seemed to be a better fit for Russel. (Rolly-pollieness aside.) Not only dose Skoodge seem to be the most sensible Irken to come out of an alien race that holds no regard for each other but he also seems to be the most underrated and unappreciated character out of the four. Very much like Russle.
And finally...
Gir-Del: I felt I needed to put Gir somewhere into this so I made him Del. Not much of a connection between these two except for when Gir was making rap-noises with his mouth in Plague Of Babies. But other then that, not much else.
