Well ain't this boding.The frying-pan as weapon of choice comes from Discworld [+ 'Tangled' and Sam Gamgee] by way of Roommates' "Such Stuff" dream-arc. And I have long been itching for the chance to pimp out Jareth's armour in the wicked style he sports over there.
And coincidentally, in both comics it seems there are characters who have the common sense reaction, when dealing with a potentially dangerous/overpowered Goblin King, to give Harry Dresden, wizard PI, a call. I mean, there goes one guy who has as good a chance as any of blasting his way through the Nevernever to kick Fae butt, if the money is good and there are girls in trouble.
(And panel 7 Christine is all like, "if he wannabe my lover, he gotta help out my friends".)

I feel like even without the pendant he would have enough magic for any wardrobe whimsies, so if he is actually putting clothes on himself it's because it's a *special* occasion/outfit and he wants to relish it.

On first sight I completely assumed Sarah was practising her ping-pong serve in the second panel (letting off steam?), what with the little downwards movement trajectory
Do we take it this is a generic fund Raoul has set up, or is it a very specific 'Lovegood-and-Williams-for-the-rescuing-of' foundation on Christine's prompting?
And presumably Sarah means 'cheating' in a strictly "that's not fair" sense rather than in a 'drooling over other women' one
Is Jareth pulling on armour gauntlets on top of his gloves, or instead of? And he's really glittering with power here... wait, does that mean he's going too..?

Mmm. I'm guessing this trip was the catalyst, but once set up the De Chagny fund would be available to any petitioner with a decent case to submit. As to Sarah using those words, could be there was a wee dig at Christine included, or else Raoul is very wry about the whole thing. And it IS honestly part of the dynamic in both cases - knowing Raoul there's a fair chance his fund also fully reimburses post-rescue therapy and Stockholm Syndrome deprogramming...
Cheating used in the child's understanding of the word, yes.

It's really something for James to be making light of the pigsty incident. I felt a bit of pain for him there, though I have only ever seen the first movie. Between these comics and a bit of research I have become rather fond of the quartet's Only Sane Man- though sometimes I imagine he only appears that way.
