One could argue Botan is Fortune due to bringing things to Yusuke like the offer for the revival and the spirit detective gear early on.

From Yusuke's perspective yes. But from Botan not really.
In P3 and P4 all of the arcana are decided mostly by the relation with the main character.
In P1 and P2 it has less to do with relationship with others and more with themselves.
When picking arcana's I try to think of both perspectives although I kind of prefer p1 and p2 logic.

Well they didn't do eyebars in the first 2/3 games.
Yeah to get back to P2 E.P. as well I made two different saves and I got through the secret laboratory on one side but I'm stuck in the TV station on the other. I'm just going to have to forget about TV site for now.

I've remember getting a little stuck on that one as well, but the one I had to level grind for was Golden gym, so I wasn't too bad off.
