I wonder if this is getting too old and common in this fandom. Squeezes it in another anyway. ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ Ladybug has pockets and a belt cos “functionality” but ignore the useless ribbons. Genderbent Marichat and Adrienette gives me so many ideas hehehe.

I do like all the little variations here; the differences in expression between certain sets especially tickles me. And as with the first version, I very much appreciate that the differences for their Miraculous outfits are slight but significant. And I'm also really into the little changes in the colors between the four versions. It's all so pleasant to look at, really. <3

Hmmm... I think that male Marinette's casual outfit would look better if his pants were either bright red (similar to those of Ladybug) or a darker shade of pink. It would be a small difference compared to the original character design (like Adrien's more feminine shoulder bag here) that wouldn't stray too far from the source material, yet it would enhance the feeling that this indeed is a genderbent, masculine version of Marinette. But that's just how I feel about it 
At any rate, I love the dynamic poses and varying expressions in each set!
As for the series itself, I was REALLY hyped about this show when I saw the original anime promo. But when I found out that the show would A) be CGI instead of anime and B) would be whole lot more kid friendly instead of what was shown in the promo, I was quite disappointed. The promo was whole lot darker and it had more violent action scenes (like Marinette fighting with her feet instead of using her yoyo), obviously aimed at more mature audiences like tweens or teenagers. I've also read the show would have originally handled more mature themes like political issues etc. But in the end, I do understand why they decided to play it safe, maximize their sales and therefore make the show more kid friendly. I would have preferred the original vision, but what we got in the end isn't too shabby either. The battles are imaginitive + fun to watch and even when some of the villains have outright ludicrous themes - like Lady wifi - they still have these cool, dark outfits that make them look so much more intimidating.
However, the show has one major flaw: Chloe. And it's not because she's the designated bitch whose sole purpose is to antagonize the protagonist. Rather, it's the continuos, repetetive use of Chloe's bitchy behavior that causes people to become akumatized. Using Chloe repetitively as a plot device is just LAZY WRITING. Again, I can see why they're doing this: Chloe being Marinette's classmate ensures that if she pisses someone off, chances are high that Marinette's around when the shit hits the fan. It also makes it easier for writers to have sequences, where Marinette can become Ladybug in the middle of the school day without playing hooky. ~If the school is in disarray, it's much easier to slip away and then save the day~ ... sorry, that was a bad joke. But for the viewer, this Chloe gimmick grows old very quickly. Like the other episodes show, there can be plenty of OTHER reasons for people getting upset besides one spoiled teenager.
With Volpina entering the fray, I really hope Chloe gimmick gets toned down in season 2. I'm not saying that she can't akumatize anyone anymore, I just hope that writers use her more sparingly... instead of making her akumatize like one THIRD of ALL THE VILLAINS in the season like they did in S1 T_T.

Oh my gosh, I was really surprised to get such a long comment. Nothing wrong with it just not something I get often haha.
I had considered going a deep red color for Marcel's pants (similar to Gabriel's pants) but I didn't want the color to be too close to Ladybug's sort of red. I thought this shade of pink was darker than Marinette's, a little less saturated too. *shrugs* That's the way I see it at least. I did give Marcel a bag that's more to a boy's taste but you can't see it cos his arm is covering it haha.

I understand your frustration with how the initial concept wasn't used, but I thought it was little "formulaic"? Girl likes boy who doesn't like her, and when the mask is on, it's vice versa. Plus there wasn't a hint why PV!Marinette likes Felix and that was little weird for me. I did like the idea that Felix was cursed to wear the ring with a potential side story dedicated to that. I don't mind getting a darker story but it has to be done right or it would just be awful. I like what we have (despite lots of it's writing flaws as you've pointed out) because the characters are loveable and believable. Their relationship is founded on growth and just being a decent human being. I say this because Ladybug isn't mean or snobbish to Chat and the same can be said from Adrien to Marinette.
Hahahahaha. Sorry for laughing but I just absolutely despise Chloe. I do agree with you and would want the plot to more forward from using her as a constant villain-generator, but you have to admit it's true to her character. If she does grow up and become a more decent person, it would also at least be a good incentive for when she gets a Miraculous. (I still doubt that particular detail but I have absolute faith in Thomas and the whole team.) Also, I think it was something to do with budgeting time cos then they would have to come up with dozens of scenarios not related to school or the people close to Marinette or Adrien. It's faster (therefore cheaper) to have a consistent source of villains from one person. But I do agree it would be good to have Lila shake things up, especially if we see the aftermath as she keeps up the facade of her lies.
I share a similar concern with Chat because despite what the show tries to portray, Chat still comes off as a sidekick and I really really really wish the writing didn't focus so much on Ladybug being the final hero of the day. I don't mind the development on Adrien's side of things (aloof father, missing mother, lack of a normal childhood, etc.) but Chat is so important. For once I'd like to Ladybug needing Chat to resolve things or even help figure out the use for the Lucky Charm.
