This was done as an craft/art trade with earthstar_chan on LJ. It was held pretty early, like around October, but the deadline was put on Christmas since (considering the number of people in college) we would surely be busy.
Finally finished about 3 weeks ago but didn't have time to post it here but i've posted it on my LJ for a while now.

The request was for a Slayers/Umineko no Naku koro ni crossever, where the Slayers characters play as the Umineko characters.... well, you get the picture. (oh lame pun HAHA)
so here's how I assigned the characters:
Lina > Beatrice (cos they're both mischievous schemers with lost of magic power)
Gourry > Battler (cos both have zero magic talent and a bit slow lol)
Amelia > Jessica (cos they are both good melee fighters and have similar tastes in guys. i kid you not)
Zelgadis > Canon (cos they're both pessimistic, stoic, magicly enhanced beings that have hearts of stone. excuse the pun Zel.)
Rezo > Kinzo (cos both are somewhat misguided fools filled with obsession, but Rezo has real magic capacity)
little Naga > Maria (cos they make annoying sounds? no kidding! but they've both got good magic talent!)

The highlight of this work is the coloring. It's the first time I really went serious with the detail and tried my best to make it look paintish, of some sort. i didn't want to just use cel-shading so i tried a more difficult approach. I think it paid off because i'm VERY satisfied with the result. Although the skin tones might be a bit dark but i'll agrue that they're in a rather dim place. I'm also impressed with the detail since the outfits designs were so outrageous. Gotta pat myself there.
