Not my photo i dunno who owns it, its all over the net so whoever did it i give them credit, i just wanted to add a little something myself for todays 5 year anniversary of september 11th. EVERYONE IS MISSED!

Like a soldier of war, facing danger in many forms... He suits up for the day's unseen battles...
Charging through the thick black smoke, against the fire enemy that lurks inside...
He states..."It's just my job..."
The captian shouts over the excitement, "Watch that roof-top!"
Ignoring the warnings, he leaps inside the inferno of flames...
Calling out and listening for any signs of life...
The eerie sounds that haunt from within...
Ready to devour such a brave soul and still he states,
"It's just my job..."
The many lives he's saved, both young and old...
The hands he's held and reassured...
The tears he's shed, along with the graves visited for arriving too late...
The prayers he's lifted for the critically wounded...
The lessons he's taught of STOP-DROP & ROLL
With hundreds of little eyes upon him and the hero's that's come from his lessons taught...
Again he takes no glory... he merely says, "It's just my job..."
A Band of Brothers... like no other...
Rushed to that dreadful sight on that september day...
Thinking of the many sacrifices to be make,
Knowing they could count on one another...
One of the first thoughts to enter their minds...
"Oh no, all of those people are trapped inside!"
They fought their way through the billowing smoke..
Pulling people out left and right...
Thinking not of the roof that would soon cave in,
Or the many gruesome sights...
Ignoring the sweat pouring down his face...
He kept on going without losing faith...
He fought and he fought 'til he could fight no more...
And suddenly the rooftop fell to the floor ...
As we all watched in disbelief,
As television cameras caught his grief...
He is one of many that will not be forgot...
He loved his nation and the people so much...
The first thing to enter his mind...
"I'd do it all again, it's just my job!"

Yeah, I was in middle school when this happened. Now I'm going on my 3rd year of college. Doesn't seem possible that so much time has passed... Wow.

I was only in 3rd grade, only 7 years old, but I still remember walking home with my Dad, and him asking if I'd ever heard of the World Trade Centers, and explaining that those two tall beautiful buildings we'd seen in NYC a few years before were gone.

I still remember what I was doing in school when the first plane hit.
It seems people don't care any more. I wore an American flag T-Shirt and no one said any thing.

I wish I were subscribed so I could use this. Three of my friends have their birthdays on 9/11, and I remember in 8th grade going from lunch where we were celebrating the birthday of one, and then we went into an assembly where we found out what had happened
