This is very unique and awesome! Did you create your own texture map or is it all cycles materials?

Thank you Β Yes I did create texture map. Well it is a mask layer ,only black and white. I used that black and white with cycles in mix shaders fac input.

Yes I like that idea, it makes sense to get that detailed panel look while utilizing the engine to do the material work. I will definitely experiment with that idea! Thank you kindly for sharing your process.

Love the patterning on the skin... that's called "Aztecing" right? The color choice is unusual but looks absolutely fantastic (if alien).

Where'd you get the inspiration for that pattern? It reminds me a tad of Frank Lloyd Wright, but somehow it's seems even more familiar than that.

Thank you . Some textures are indeed inspired from Aztec-ing and most all are in black and white , but they only serve to mask in between two different materials . I also do try to create a simpler more like art deco line work ,just for bump maps , those finer lines. I honestly cannot pin point a source of inspiration but more like an eclectic process. I am glad you did mention Lloyd Wright , cause he is the master of interiors . I think it is time to re study his take on form and shape .

Whatever you are doing lately, where ever you are getting it, just keep it up. I've perused your gallery several times now, and while it's all good, the more recent work seems to have taken a quantum leap ahead in terms of color and surface patterns.

I'm a fan of Peter Elson from WAAYY back: lately you seem to be channeling that kind of inspiration into 21st century formats. I hope that comes across as the high compliment I intend.

As a subscriber to your gallery and scraps, I'm looking forward to whatever you tackle next.

I'd like to place an order for fifty units, full technical assistance, and training service, with an upgraded weapons package...

Now for the important question does it come in black and chrome?

very sleek design as usual. The lack of the cockpit is actually not a bad touch. sort of makes it far from the generic starfighter/gunship...even further away than the shape, style, already move it way from the run of the mill.

Sendercorp is at your service .

Yes, we can get you black and chrome with very fine red lines right away,as far as the upgraded weapon system , because the vessel is not based on SC-Q modular energy grid that may take some time , mean while we can give you extra five units to get you ready at your offensive / defensive line .
Thank you kindly for the comment.
Sendercorp we bring peace, to multiverse .

Thank you for your prompt reply, you will find enclosed one case of Valkiir ale, unless of course the pilot helped herself to a bottle or two.

OrionShipWorks , I like your comment ,you did nail it again . Size is something I care so much . I often do model down to the centimeter . I try to keep cockpits ( by keeping a 1.80 meters tall low poly human form at reference ) comfortably ,large even when they are fighters . In this vessel I got caught up with 4K texture calculations and kind of ended the model right away . So yes , all open ends are up to you , size ,cockpit location and her class .

I was suggesting POSSIBLY putting on a cockpit or a command bridge in order to provide a sense of scale. But I think I prefer it the way it is. If I get to decide, I'd like to think this a small drone that's controlled by an artificial intelligence.

In any case, you have succeeded in creating a sleek, menacing look. I think those 4 oval-shaped wing-things on the front play a big role here. They don't look friendly! Maybe they are sensors for hunting other ships or lifeforms.

The more I look at this the more I like it!

This one is rather different and sort of alien looking. Very creative and I like the wing-like appendages. Since there's no obvious cockpit I wonder if this is a drone? But without a cockpit I'm also not sure how big this thing is.
