Pinedrop — Hello World

Description I was snapping photos of a cow moose when I noticed a ball of fur in the sage not far away.  Mostly I just saw ears.  So I waited... and waited... and waited... and finally nap time was over and the ball of fur stood up.  

P.S.  For those of you who have seen lots of moaning and groaning about my pics not looking sharp after upload... my daughter fixed the problem.  It turns out my Safari was set to 150% and so she switched it to 100%.  Hurrah!  This of course means I was the only one seeing the problem and you all must have been scratching your heads, wondering if I was off my nut.  Which I probably am but not in this instance.

It was way cool.    Only wish I could have captured some of the action with clarity... I need to work on that.

I'm so jazzed to know there's nothing wrong with my uploads.    And I did appreciate all of your efforts to get me on track with format.   I am still unable to export from Lightroom 5 with the adjustments generally used for the web.  The exports turn out badly.  Perhaps there are some bugs in Lightroom 5 that need working out.  I've seen chatter to that effect... some people saying they've switched back to 4.  I'll just wait for fixes.  Fingers crossed.

I'm sure it was. I went out last weekend and enjoyed myself thoroughly though I didn't get any special captures. It just feels good to be out in the woods, poking around....

Your reply sent me straight outside to look over the status of my non-existent flowers and, amazingly, I've got a narcissus in bloom and some tulips that are about to open.

Daw, its so cute! I barely ever see a wild moose even tho theye sometimes are so stubborn and don't even move for a car in the middle of a road XD

He's the smallest moose calf I've seen yet.  I was pretty happy when he awoke from his nap and stood up.

I've not seen moose stand in the road though they do get killed frequently when trying to cross.  We've lowered our night-time speed limits in certain areas to protect them.

Here on the island where i live it have happened theye are just standing in the middle of the road and doesn't even move when you honk your horn at them XD

Perhaps they think they have as much right as anyone.    We have the same thing here with the bison.  Although in their case it's more about making sure the whole herd gets across safely.  There's always at least one standing at the edge of the road keeping an eye on things.  That one is the last to cross.

We do have an abundance of wildlife here, which is one of the many reasons I love this place.

'Allo, sweetie!   Welcome to the world!  Do please grow as large as you wish, but please stay off all hard, black surfaces at night--the pretties you see coming closer are not friendly at all   Stay close to momma and do as she says at all times.
