What would that point be, considering it's just a Grass-Type? And you sure you weren't thinking of a shiny Duskull? Shiny Haunter is more black than purple, not red.

Yes, it's "just a Grass-Type", but he suggested that with its elegant, princess-like appearance it would have been a good candidate to be a secondary Fairy-Type, but Cottonee/Whinsicott got to be instead.
And yes, I am positive the Pokemon I traded was a shiny Haunter. I caught it while grinding in Victory Road and I hang onto it because I KNEW I could get something cuter for it with how awesome Shiny Mega Gengar looks. When I said red-orange I was referring to Liligant's flower. The standard one has a red-orange flower while the shiny has a pink flower.

Ah, my bad then. I didn't realize you were referring to that. And yes, that would be a good point, considering Diancie is a princess (at least, according to the movie).
