I'm aware he is cannonicly cuban. I made a dumb shit post about it on my tumblr a while back. Im so jazzed about it. But I have this AU in my head where there each from a different region of japan. Keith - Tokyo, Lance - Osaka, Hunk- Okinawa, Pidge- Hokkaido, Shiro- Kyoto. Thats the inspiration behind this series more or less. Because the fashion is inspired by the area more or less.

I totally agree, some canon lances Espanol( not in a dub) would be so flipping perfect!
