[link] [link] [link] [link] click on them so they can grow, i beg of you ;-;i wanted to make sure if my characters were mary sues or not. so i took the test, and this were the results. i allways knew that B.A.S.H. wasn't a mary sue, and i also knew that Kira was a perfect mary sue.
what it makes me happy anyway is that there were three more kinds of character: the anti-sue (i don't want mary sue, but going completely to the other side is not good either), and the ΓΌber and irremediable sue (that are worse than getting just a mary sue level). this mean that i may not be that bad creating characters after all.
i took another test in wich everyone got less than 50 points, and the result was:
0-50 points :" congratulations! you are the proud creator of a completely original character! keep up the good work. it takes skill and determination to create such a pure individual. you ought to throw a party or something to celebrate".

That's what I wanna say, they got powers but also got flaws consenquences for activating it, their weakness based from their fear, their reserved version of their element and power, or based from their personality.

Why you take a test? You shouldn't let ANYONE tell what to do with your OC's. They're yours and they can be Mary Sues if you wish.

I took it because i was curious about how they would rank. I was fearful about making Mary-sues because they're not challenging (and they're boring), and if i don't like to see or read mary-sues from other people, i thought i should be able to avoid creating one.
I don't think that a test can define if my characters are either good or bad, but it doesn't hurt to look for the opinion of other people (or in this case, program) to see what kind of character you're making.
Fear not, I didn't actually change anything about my OCs after i made the test. They're still the same, and that counts for all the other OCs i have.

Ok, I just don't like people jacking up other people's OC. Besides, if an OC doesn't have at least one or two traits of a Mary-Sue, they turn out pretty boring...

that's true, some people just can't live if they don't mess up with other people's OC. Even if you could do it better, you should let people be.
i agree with that too. People have talents in real world. I've met people who can read something once and understand the subject like an expert, or play an instrument almost perfectly with just a few days of practice, or that can run faster than anyone without training or they are naturally flawlessly beautiful without having to take care of their appearance.
Having ALL the talents and skills is Mary-sueish. Having one or two special gifts is NORMAL. And so, to make an OC you have to give it special gifts.

i can't remember actually, but i'm quite sure i didn't take one of those that say harry potter or star trek or any specific fandom.
must've been the universal one. the link to the one i used is broken now, so i can't be 100% sure.

I've tried these tests and the first one is really confusing. Whenever I take it I don't check the ones that don't apply to my characters...and the results always say that my characters are MSs. It pisses me off.Β
I used the second one and it was better. I'll try the last one.Β

DEAL WITH IT.
I was using Invader Zerp, who is a bit like Derpy Hooves, I suppose. She just goes around, avoids messing up the story line, and destroys other then it. Her intenathing is broken at one point, as part of her being, ahem, "special". She was basicly in a mental hosbital on Irk, when she managed to mess something up bad enough to steal a ship, and run into a mail truck. Said mailtruck contained the "Switched Mail" from one episode, which weakened the defective SIR unit container just enough so that they poured out of the container and into the truck. One got stuck in the wall, with enough power to fly right into the ship. It clung to the ship. AND BY A TOTALLY WEIRD CONINKYDINK, it was one of the ones that was just plain derp'd. It isn't a GIR recolor. It is a SIR unit, not a GIR unit. She later crashed into the "PREETTYYY GR33N N BLOO ROK" and hit the SIR with a wrench until it's eyes and discuys (spelling failure) became totally out of wack. She doesn't directly meet any of the main people, she doesn't fall in love with anyone, she doesn't save the earth, or atleast on purpose.
I say she isn't a Mary Sue.

i got a little bit lost with her story, but i definitely like it.
kind of weird how this tests can't actually tell you if the characters are mary sues or not. they try to make people avoid the self-adition to the stories, but they don't help to make a solid or half-real character.

people are sensitive about everything... they snap even when you say "that's beautiful! but the colour is a little bit too bright" or something like that. they can't take a polite constructive critic, much less sarcasm or harsh critics.
