A very toned down version of the rape of Leda by Zeus in the form of a swan. I don't they ever got the chance to participate in an equally amorous relationship... however if they did.... this would be the perfect painting for symbolizing their love.

I like how the swan is covering it's wings around the girl while she is doing her hair. Very feminine and lady-childlike

Considering that Zeus turned into a swan to seduce Leda, having sex with her (not sure if it was consented or not) in his bird form and then she bore him children is kinda...weird. But then again, Zeus' wife Hera is his sister so yeah...lovely picture by the way. I look forward to scanning through your library
