Description
The wonderful Hannah-Alexander has given me permission to create and sell some patterns based on her work. If these are successful I hope to partner with her further to do the other princesses. This is the first time I have revealed the surprise, not even my friends on my personal facebook knew which ones I was doing.This is a Work In Progress and does not reflect the final product. Currently it is 240 colors, 16.5 x 12.5 inches on 28 count. I'm also unsure if this will stay the case, I may decide to do each princess individual instead of as a set of three.
Pattern will be Limited Edition at request of Hannah and future reissues of the pattern will be at Hannah's discretion.
I plan on giving them quite a bit of hand-drawn detail work to reflect the fantastic embroidery on their gowns. There will be many fancy layerings of filament and metallic threads if I get my way. Certainly won't a beginner's project.

Well, the dress is done, and I'm working on the headpiece now and then I'll think about the details. The shoes are going to be a real problem with this one.

OMG Yay!!!!!!! And you have Belle in the mix! My favorite!!!!!!! XD I can not WAIT to see how this turns out and filaments & metallic threads will be great for these! Beads might be able to be worked into it too but I shall leave that up to you.
I will have to join the line in anxiously awaiting to see theses when you are done and add them to my 'To Do' list after purchase. ^_^ Hanna's work is amazing and I'm sure you will do a great job with them. I hope you do many more collabs with her beautiful artwork too.

I found it my googling "mill hill beads to dmc conversion" and it was the first thing that came up. Useful since it lists all the different sizes of beads. ^_^

I know there's a conversion somewhere of Mill Hill beads to DMC colors. I'll see if I can find it. That might help you some.

These are wonderful! I would certainly do them as separate patterns, that way you don't have to worry quite as much about the number of colours and you can always give a placement suggestion if people take all 3

It will also mean that you can set a price that can reflect your work without becoming too expensive for people, after all the detail you take hours to put in also deserves some compensation

After seeing the prices on HAED my confidence was a little shaken (even taking into account they offer a LOT more quantity than I think I'd ever be able to), so I've been weighing the ins-and-outs of that too. One thing I do fear of doing them as separate patterns instead of a set is if, say, all the Belle sells out before the other two, then people would be out of luck unless Hannah allowed a reissue (if they wanted them as a set). Maybe sell a lesser amount of sets to counteract that? But that means making sure symbols don't conflict...

I'd sell a fixed amount as sets and the rest as individual patterns. A set will be all 3 patterns on separate files, since they are offered as separate files you then don't have to worry about conflicting symbols as they will do one at a time anyway - so really the symbols conflicting is not an issue
