Thank you! Didn't think of simply erasing shade to create highlights (instead of trying to guess what's a good lighter color cause that's my weakness).

This is lazy?!?!
I think this coloring style is really gorgeous <33~~.
I really like how you did the lighting via an eraser.
It gives it a really beautiful effect~~.

If you don't consider this 'lazy' you don't wanna know when I do 'complex' XD
I have many odd techniques up my sleeve because I never found tutorials on certain things,
erasing to get this effect is one of them xD Thank you, I'm glad you like it!

LOL XD.
Using different styles for different effects~~.
A simpler style can be more effective over a more complex one <3.
Just sayin'.

You're welcome~~.
Your art is super pretty, I gotta join in on your streams on of these days~~.

It's a miracle if I ever reach step 4 ; v ;
this is so neat though! Thanks for posting this. Seeing how you lay everything out and your steps really motivates me ;w;

Pinlin In reply to Rinalinsky [2015-07-12 21:59:34 +0000 UTC]

It's just the basic idea, maybe you go even beyond step 9 (•́⌄•́)૭✧
If you're lazy with lining like me, just use the sketch. I'm glad the steps
are clear without a detailed desciption. Spread the motivation huehue~

I begin to explode at step 4 xDD I've never dedicated myself to coloring or line art, only sketching XDD that's why my drawings look like disfigured animu weaboos when I color/line art x33 but at least I am mastering anatomy :} which btw, maybe you made the first part of the girls arm a little too short ;///;
Looooove your art and coloring btw x33

yuukipink In reply to wind-turtur [2015-07-12 19:50:53 +0000 UTC]

I am not sure if it is too short or not. Puffy sleeves can cover up a lot of the arm.

Maid - Cosplay  See?

Maybe the artist drew the forearm a little longer to show she is reaching for the boy? When it comes to manga drawing each artist has their own idea of proportion. It is usually unrealistic but it keeps all of us from looking too similar. ^__^ A great coloring style helps too.

It does cover up a part of the arm, but I still see it shorter, judging by the beginning of the shoulder. That doesn't, then really depend on the artist's style 0, it's just anatomy x33 Even though there are obviously different styles, but this one shows to be of correct anatomy :} even though everything else is perfect XDD and the coloring of this piece is just HNNNNNNNNNNNG bootiful

AzaHana In reply to wind-turtur [2015-07-17 16:36:55 +0000 UTC]

if i remember right pinlin fixed it at the original picture after other artists noticed it
so this is just a step-by-step short cut before the arm was fixed

wind-turtur In reply to AzaHana [2015-07-22 22:39:47 +0000 UTC]

Well, i still think that it is slightly shorter than it should be x33 But yeah

ahahahaha lazy shading style you say

How did you get rid of all the sketchy lines from 4-5? O: It looks so clean all of a sudden omg like you lined it or something*v*

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Pinlin In reply to yuuike [2015-07-11 14:36:55 +0000 UTC]

I barely do lineart anymore so I consider sketchy lines "lazy" XD"
The lighting and shading is simple too unlike some of my other
works... ehh it's just my own standard

From 4-5 is just merge all layers and paint all over it LOL.
Even without a clean lineart it looks like this that's why I don't
bother the messiness from 2, they will be fixed later anyway.

This drawing has no lineart too: Good night hug
I wonder if anyone could tell haha. The lighting and shading
is little more advanced though.

That is absolute fucking genius why hasn't anyone else done this. That seemed so obvious I feel stupid.

yuuike In reply to Pinlin [2015-08-20 22:52:44 +0000 UTC]

ohhh that's makes sense... I've tried out lineless lately and before i am always sooo scared before i merge the layers together lmao That shit takes some practice and courage omg =v=""

I don't think i would've noticed it unless you pointed it out O---O I've noticed that when there's a dark background generally lineless arts look a lot better... I guess the surrounding black kinda ends up being the lines itself? xD Idk but I think that's why a lot of semi realism artists like sakimichan like to use such dark background ovo

Also you should make some tutorials *v* I've found out that you're actually reallllly good at explaining things haha xD

Lazy? Lazy?

I don't even shade when I'm lazy haha. Traditional art makes flat colours look less obvious.
THIS IS AMAZING EVEN IF IT IS YOUR LAZY.
