Spider-Gwen I love and it was her that got me into comics with Edge of the Spider-Verse #2 comic, Ms. Marvel was the second character I followed and I adore her, and the first character I followed from DC was Batgirl.  Great work!

Thank you. Now superhero comic with female as leader characters are more and more well develop. Love the stories of Ms. Marvel and new Batgirl. Unfortunately I was a little bit difficult following Spider Gwen stories

Ms. Marvel is perhaps for me the most current well written comic and the comic seems easier to follow as the comic issues for the most part begin right where that other issues left us at.  Ms Marvel (Khan) is such a adorable lovable character that I have read thus far (but there are others I enjoy greatly also).

I found that Spider-Gwen to be enjoyable but there were two factors I found off (and both play into each other).  The focus on many characters vs just mostly one (Spider-Gwen) and the pacing to be slightly slower then most other comics currently.
I have a theory for why that is for the comic currently but can shake it off in the future if not already.

Edge of Spider-Verse #2 as that was her first appearance and breakout comic and feels like a true issue #1 for her and the world. Since they made that comic believing it was going to be a one shot tale that comic moves at a good pace and isn't slow.  Edge of the Spider-Verse comic didn't have to worry about explaining or showcasing her Earth-65 world or NYC (all the reader had to know was it was a alternate Earth), it had but didn't focus on her cast, and keep the focus mainly on Spider-Gwen and the action, gave bare but necessary basics to her past, mentality, and motivation.  Doing all of that in one comic made it fast pace, fun, and interesting.  But when they got a series the writer then had to cover and expanded upon a whole lot more.
Since they earned an unplanned ongoing and had very little time in making it the team did a very good job art and story wise however it moves slower then other comics but for an understandable reasons.  Most comics takes place on worlds with established characters and events of that world such as 616.  Earth-65 is brand new thus everything must be shown and established in time from the tone of the world itself, it's characters as everyone of them is new (in some form as being alternates means they can possibly be nothing like any other version thus each one is basically a new character for readers and has to be established), and brand new history being made. The writer must make something brand new and establish it for the readers. Some characters are very similar to their other counterparts (but we don't know that till we see them) while others are very little like any alternate that we have seen thus far. The cast and the interactions are being shown to us for the first time thus each needs proper care and time. We are being fed good pieces of information to us as it happens or interacts with Gwen (plus in those times we see more of who Gwen of Earth-65 is and her thoughts). Due to world building care it goes slower then other comics but each comic has been very enjoyable thus far. As we get to know the world and it's cast better I feel the writer will then pick up the speed after the necessary core cast, histories, and moments has been effectively shown. Discovering this world and it's cast has been a pleasure and seeing formerly establish from other worlds characters shown in a new light, age, morality, profession, or situation is a joy.  Doing this has taken alot of focus off of Gwen and onto her cast in order to show to us who there are and how to fit into Gwen's world.  Thus other comics keep it only or 90% of the time on the main character this comic has to setup all the piece and establish a cast thus the beginning stages have alot more to cover and divide up unlike some other comics.

After I read issue #5 I feel that issue marked the monument where Spider-Gwen comics could/would have pacing similar to other comics and was now out of the gate and running after building and covering what we needed to know. I love each issue but the first two issues contained slow but necessary info while 3-5 was fun, action, heartfelt (very important to me if not the most important), humorous, intense tone (Matt "Murderdock" gives off a real threatening vibe and I love it as he is a great villain for Gwen to have and stands out very well with abilities that can equally give a strong showdown against Gwen's spider senses plus Castle's investigation and pursuit), and overall gave me an understanding on the main cast and how Spider-Gwen's life is as "Gwen Stacy" the drummer and Spider-Woman for the most part.  Gwen Stacy is quite and remains in her head keeping to the background while others talk but is a needed part of others lives and she needs them as well (much like real drummers whom is in the back and won't gain the same attention compared to the singers and the ones on stage with guitars yet with no drummer the band falls) while Spider-Woman is load and very verbal and makes a scene when she enters (when she puts on her mask/second face she unlocks another deep part of her that's more extroverted vs the introverted "space case" keeping to herself human Gwen in this universe).  Since most of the necessities and character establishing and relationships that has happened in the first Vol the upcoming Vol might not have that slower pace thus better for the series in the longer run.

I wasn't a comic book reader in the past and I have to say that I found in the past female comic characters was mostly: eye candy, just part of the cast, love interest, damsel, or token female of a team or female version of a existing male hero, and not developed as much.  Now things have change in many ways and I have enjoyed the ride thus far.

I agree with you. Three of the titles at least show the readers that female characters on comics could be developed to be solid and great characters.
