I marathoned Madoka Magica for my first time last night and basically do and don't regret it simultaneouslyso I have heartbreak and magical girls on the mind, and drew this to counteract the heartbreak >X,D
This also is partially something I've wanted to draw of Kito anyways, since it is kiiiiiinda canon to her storyline even though she wouldn't have quite as perky of a face when this form happens ;Y and it only happens once through her existence anyway, so I didn't have an urge to draw it at any point until now x,,,D
finally decided to show what was under that wristband of hers too boop
I listened to this and a loooot of chiptunes while drawing :,P

This is so cool asfhsj and now I'm really curious what this "form" is and why she wouldn't have a perky face (if you've told me this and i've forgotten I am SO SORry...) But her hair kind of reminds me of Idalia so..... hMMMM

Also so it's like- her other arm is normal but the one with the wristband has no wrist? :0

I have not told aNYSOMEONES of this idea yet so no worries about having forgotten! x,D I've wanted to try keeping it vague still but I'm so tempted at the same time to just blab it all out. SO if you wanna know the whole scoop I can spill the beans in a note or during one of our movies or something xD

And pretty much! xD The band is what helps keep the two together/protect that gap. Since I wanted it to be something more visually interesting/a bit more alien than the wrist just being weak. (Since her species doesn't have muscles or tendons that wouldn't make too much sense anyways) So when she was born in the star nursery and her "shell" was forming, there wasn't enough matter to seal her wrist together before she was whisked off with other starkids to get clothes and things
Mostly I had just doodled the idea of her having a 'Rayman' hand hiding under it- and thought it was cool enough to run with x,,,D
Unlike the Rayman it can't do much fancy like run off and punch things in the distance on its own. :P

Oh boy, seeing a new outfit for Kito is always a deLIGHT! Because... there's a lot of light in the picture and all...
And I have also watched Madoka Magica not too long ago and feel the same way about it- and even though I've spoiled 90% of the story before I watched it I still teared up a little which is saying a lot since when I'm alone I'm totally pokerface about almost everything and my emotions work a weird way. I really loved it but UGGH the fEELS

As for the lines I didn't really do anything that exciting! :,P I just locked the line layer and did a gradient on top that I shaded in some spots with an airbrush~

having the Dofus frigost artbook helped me a lot for the clothing tho (I would have LOVED to come up with such a wonderful design ;A; )

I've seen quite a bit about this anime but never got to watching it. Perhaps I should.
These light effects are super neat, the shading's very well done too.

I'd only suggest touching it if you don't get emotional easily- or if you have some context of what might pop up in the show ahead of time withOUT too many spoilers x,D Since I had some ideas of how things were going to go in it I was able to adjust my mindset accordingly
