Edit 4/17/16: Oh MAN was this update long overdue x,,,D Goro's proportions've change more in the past few months than they had in the 7+ something past years I've been drawing him. Probably because I've gotten more comfortable WITH drawing him and there's been a number of friends that've done their own interpretations which led to me making new adjustments and tweaks in his design ;v; Prior to this most of the time I drew him in his little form because I straight up struggled ever getting his big one to look right

Kito hasn't changed near as much because by n' large I've drawn her way more, but I'll still give her sheet an update sometime soon <3

Kito's:

Here's the grumpy Yang to Kito's Yin : P

Name: Goro
Age: ???
Gender: Identifies Male
Race/Species: Fire Flipseed
Sexuality: Asexual/Aromantic
Place of Birth: Anariant
Biology:
Apart from the "eternal flame" inside his stomach, there's literally nothing else in his body. His limbs are completely solid masses, and are merely 'animated' whenever they move around. He's capable of tightening his limbs (usually just his fists) to the stiffness of a boulder for the sake of punching something, but otherwise his entire form inside and out is as squishy as a stress ball. :P
The red & yellow "shell" of his body have a more leathery texture, but otherwise not much different.

He has no need to eat, though if anything dropped inside his mouth and onto the fire it could be absorbed for a small boost in energy.

If he was ever buried under ground- and had the will for it- he could root himself down and grow into a Torchwood Tree much like his dad. He's NEVER wanted to do that though so we'll never find out if it's actually possible or not. :Y

Personality: Through his years prior to meeting Kito, he became a very secluded, emotional, and paranoid character. He was very desperate to interact with ANYONE when Kito arrived that they were able to become immensely close. Anyone outside of her however he's very hesitant to trust them, and can be easily jealous or overprotective when nearby someone that she's interacting with. If he somehow does hit it off with another person that Kito's invited over or introduced him to (since he can't get anywhere across the cosmos meetin people on his own), he can be pretty socially awkward. It's only in a desperate situation that he can strike up a conversation right away.

History:
Many eons ago on a distant little isle in the vastness of space, grew an old yet wise Torchwood Tree planted by the Irnovians with the name of Braeburn.
The planet that he grew on was known as Anariant, and it was a small but very dear planet that he cherished as his home. Overtime as this tree grew- he saw the planet prosper peacefully, but his watchful eye had to be kept secret from those around him, as the stars that planted him there did not wish himself OR themselves injured were his presence to become known. In spite of this, he still longed dearly for some companionship. So he blessed one of the many large seeds growing from his branches with something no other tree planted by the stars had done.

The flame of life.

And that little life being Goro's

Braeburn raised Goro as his own child, filling him with all the knowledge that he had gathered from observing the world around him, as well as cherishing and nurturing the unwieldy little creature as best as he could. However, the naive mind of this little seed would lead to some disastrous circumstances down the road. Wide eyed and curious about the world around him, Goro found himself wandering into the midst of the worst foe he could ever hope to find. A vengeful form by the name of Lapsar that had a grudge against Goro's very existance, sending him to exile on a desolate little planet and causing who knows what havoc for his father and others alike.

Family: His only direct relative is his father Braeburn , though he considers Kito to be his own daughter since raising her up.
He's imMENSELY bashful about referring to her as that directly when she's around, opting for many (even more doting) nicknames for her. He's also completely earnest about any other parental actions he takes involving her, which tend to be motherly more than anything.

The few character's who've moved into the Obeservatory with them after Kito he's grown to appreciate as friends, but it took a lONG time. The only genuine close one being Alvis, who he's grown to confide in almost as a pseudo-father figure.

Likes & Hobbies:
Playing guitar (how he found one big enough for his hands is beyond me, but he's really good)
Watching movies
Cooking (even IF he can't eat, he's had to make a lot of stuff for Kito to keep her well fed, and even before that he always found the process relaxing)
Hanging out with Kito casually (since a lot of the adventures the two can go on causes him more stress than he bargained for)
Beetles

Dislikes & Fears:
Thunderstorms
Water in general (it'd take a LOT to actually douse the fire inside of him permanently. It could probably even reignite if it was totally submerged. But he is unbelievably uninterested in finding out)
Kito sneaking off on her own
Anything bad happening to Kito or his dad
Being touched by anyone he doesn't view as close
People throwing the word "friend" around if they don't know each other very well

There's oooooodles and oodles of excess trivia that can be seen poking around a giant character quiz I filled out for him a few years back ;V
Extensive Character Quiz - Goro

Despite how large his size can be, he's a lot lighter than you might think. At his smallest he only weighs about 20lbs, while his larger form is somewhere between 50lbs and 80lbs. He's too bashful to actually check for sure about it, since he can't do anything to "tone" his shape whether he's called "fat" or not
Also in spite of his general stature, he can be a pretty fast runner. It's a LOT more awkward to run when tiny though- since having arms helps to give a bit more balance with his movement.
He is almost entirely blind in his left eye (the one where his pupil's all swirly and scrambled). Light is able to filter through it but it comes to him as a blurry mess.
Evolution from child to present:
His headcanon voice is Fred Tatasicore, particularly his role in A Letter to Momo
