I've wanTED to make a gemsona of my own for Steven Universe literally since the show premiered, but up ‘til now I was too anxious about my identity with my art aND as a person to go through with it. ;v;
nOT ANYMORE THOUGH SO PLS MEET MY GEMSONA-SELF STAR GARNET
OR JUST STARNET
I picked this stone jus cause Garnet itself is my birthstone, and this had the addition of-

so stARNET IS OPEN TO FUSE WITH MUTUALS/FRIENDOS IF ANYONE WAS EVER INTERESTED IN THAT SORTA THINGY (☞ﾟ∀ﾟ)☞

and it makes me really happy to see youve gotten more confident with making such stuff like this! it can suck feeling iffy about doin something you wanna do or are unsure about, but it ALSO feels great when you start to overcome it!

But I figured I'd ask sense I don't really know if I'd be considered a mutual to you, or if your uncomfortable with a random fan askin these things

Being a 'mutual' means that we both mutually follow each others work as opposed to someone who's followed the work of somebody else for a long time.
And in a lotta cases I can be awkward about a fan out of the blue wanting to interact with my characters as opposed to just drawing em', but since this character is just 'me', I'm a bit more open minded to it- since I like interacting with people already .;,,,D
So s'long as you don't draw me doing something thats- uh- not me x,,,D then I'm more than alright with it~! ;v;

It really wasn't an issue as far as posting stuff! But moreso one of letting myself feel okay with maKING it so if nothing else I'm relieved that I can finally have a character to be 100% me with ;;v;; Versus other personal characters I have that just represent different aspects of me, but are otherwise their own things with their own stories to tell

Oooooh I getcha, I getcha! That's one of the best things you can have, I think...there's something cathartic about giving a character that's YOU an adventure, something that goes deeper than the adventures you give to characters that might have one or two of your aspects. In any case, I'm really glad you've made 'em, Starnet's an absolute gem!! ^V^

The show itself's had a heckin' big influence on a lot of the vibes I put into m' work I'll tell you what
It was probably the first new CN series for me to hit me in the same way that PPG or Fosters or KND or Teen Titans did in the past, not so much that they're even remoTELY similar shows- but just moreso keeping me excited n' invested enough to the point I'd watch every new episode as they came out and right from the start With so many other series these days I either binge my way through when its finished or catch sporadically on demand, it's like- the only thing that makes me pop on live tv as it actually airs
