I love the Divine Comedy, i dunno, but always I read Dante, i feel a kind of innocence on his words! Specially when he talks to Vergil Its beautifull! Read also Vita Nuova (Its more short than Divine Comedy)... you will fall in love with him! I did! <3

Okay I'll admit ti i'm a sucker for Chibi! So I see you've drawn Dante as he was in his older years which is when he wrote the Comidea. Now you'd you ever draw the Dante from the Comidea if that makes any sense (apperently the one narrating is the old Dante and the Dante in the book is a younger one, but it's hard to tell as I and anyone who has read the Comidea will ateast to.)

I have read the Divine Comedy, La Vita Nuova (my favorite) and de Monarchia .. and have always been my favorite books! (except De Monarchia, I got bored a little, but because of Dante, I read)
Draw the old Dante because that is how I like to see, when I can feel his wisdom
I have already drawn the young Dante
La Vita Nuova has always been my model of inspiration, my best character is based on feelings of Dante to Beatrice <3

y ADORO ese libro, porque da otra perspectiva sobre la vida del buen Dante.. muestra más su lado tierno y amoroso, y en algunas ocaciones, muestra situaciones vergonzosas que le ocurrieron! <3
te paso uno de mis renglones favoritos de la Vita Nuova
''Ocurrió un día en que esta gentilísima se hallaba en un lugar donde se oían alabanzas a la Reina de la gloria (1), y yo en el sitio de donde podía ver mi felicidad: y en el medio, entre ella y yo, en línea recta, había una dama gentil de muy agradable aspecto, que me miraba con insistencia, maravillada de mi mirada que parecía terminar en ella. De lo cual muchos advirtieron su mirar. Y tanto en ello fijada la mente estaba, que, al salirme del lugar, sentí decir a mi lado: Mira como la tal dama destruye la persona de éste (2).
