Description

A Naruto filler character, and the only pirate in that series that I know of. (Which might be for the best, considering how toxic and insane their fanbase can get, without adding Pirates vs Ninjas to the mix.) This pirate was a murderous psychopath who took over an island by massacring everyone on it, attacked anyone who sailed within range with barrages of cannonballs made of paper bombs, and would blow up his own men if they failed to bring him enough loot. He didn't show any superpowers, but he had skills, competence, a ship, a fleet of viking boats, a base with huge cannons, he didn't underestimate his opponents, and he was able to claim a dominant victory over Naruto in their first encounter. Guessing what his bounty might be was especially tricky, as a sizable chunk of any bounty is determined by location, (a mere petty thief in the New World could be worth more than a top tier pirate in the East Blue,) and this guy was from a whole different series. Would the different world raise his bounty or lower it? (And it doesn't help that the Naruto series almost completely ignored bounties.) But I figured if he was East Blue, he'd be worth maybe ฿8,000,000. If he was early Paradise, about ฿15,000,000. If he was late Paradise, up to ฿50,000,000. And if he was New World, he probably would've been killed before ever even getting a bounty.

Speaking of Naruto, it always seemed to me that many of those characters would've been far better suited to being pirates than ninjas. Many jutsus were big & flashy, which makes them poor choices for anyone who needs to be stealthy, but good for those who wanna intimidate their foes into surrendering. Much of the pirate life is drinking, gambling, partying, and goofing around, so it would be a dream come true for someone like Tsunade, (whose legendary skills were wasted on paperwork.) And Naruto himself was a lousy ninja, (he was loud, dumb, stood out, the list goes on,) but he would've been the ultimate deckhand and warrior, as thanks to his shadow clones he could do the work of an entire army, and do the combat of an entire army, without needing anywhere near as much food or living space, while his clones getting killed means nothing to him. Plus he can walk on water, and he loves instant ramen, (which is cheap and can keep for ages, making it great for long voyages.)
