yeah but Lovecraft is mostly xenophobic and crude, poe in the other hand feels graceful his writing feels elegant
they may be similar but they are clearly not the same thing .. like compering Vampires with john carpenter's the thing
not that they are incompatible but the closest thing for me that resembles what Lovecraft + goth would look like would be H.R Giger's art

This has to be one of my favorite fluttershy eps. Granted she went total Meanshy. I feel like we haven't seen this side of flutters, since Iron Will came and taught flutterbutter to be 'assertive', even then it wasn't this intense.

Same!Β I know some folks are upset that the continuity when it comes to Flutter's character growth is a bit...spotty, but it's worth it for these kind of episodes where her darker side shines!

Honestly I don't think it hurts continuity, even with her growth it still shows she has work to do. I also love her darker side(s), it's rare we ever get to see that she does have them but I feel like it gives her a deeper personality.
