You do not want to know how many days I've been working on this straight.
After the contest had been posted I finished a commission to purchase Paint Tool SAI. It was maybe a bit risky to enter like that but SAI is a million times better than PS even to a noob like me. Even my tablet pen jumping around the canvas didn't bother me that much. Poor tablet is really broken.

They are perfect for me in so many ways it's impossible. Plus I love popping candy o3o
They are retro themed. They gave me quite a nostalgia while I was drawing them. I'm so old...
I'm too afraid to write backstory down yet even though I have so many ideas. If I lose my heart would just break into million more pieces if I do that.
A Triptych counts as only one puppy and each of the 3 don't have different personality. I branched out the same personality so I can have a more fun picture but I do keep in mind they are not much different.
I imagine them being really fun and life-loving kids, tiny puppies with their tiny toys.

I'm not much of a winner but I'm really trying my best in this contest and I will draw more pictures of them soon. Pixel art is the next because I want to learn that eventually. These puppies are fun to draw anyway.

Extra Note: Their toys are tiny sized and they are all retro! They keep them in an old safety match box.
