The Vocaloid Series is a computer program that synthesizes singing in Japanese. It hasn't really come to American yet, but I was really surprised with the amount of people that recognized who I was at Otakon!This costume was all made by me. I actually based the design of this costume from the resin statue coming out of Hatsune Miku. I really loved how it looked like a shiny silver material for the top and went with that - I just had some fun with this design!
The sleeves and headphones actually do light up - I tend to wear this costume in evenings at conventions since you can't see it well in the daylight.
Let me clarify: I put together light-up sleeves and headphones MYSELF. I did not buy them that way.

I have a question if you don't mind answering....how did you do the trim on Miku's shirt? I'm trying to make Miku's shirt right now and that triangle trim is driving me bonkers. Please give me some advice ;_;

I painted some of the silver pvc teal and then I used these neat scissors that cut ridges like that along the edges. You can probably find these types of scissors in the scrap booking section of craft stores. Hope that helps!

Did you glue it to the hem or did you stitch it? I've never used pvc before...I don't actually know what that is

You look so natural in Miku's skirt and thigh-highs. You should wear them even when not cosplaying.

Thanks! They are just thigh highs that I drew the design on the side and put teal colored elastic on top.

The silver is a stretch PVC that I bought at spandexhouse.com I think. It was a long time ago, so I kind of don't remember! The black parts are polyester satin.

OMG please do a tutorial on youtube on how to make the light up sleeves and the light up headphones! i will do anything to make the headphones, AND especially the sleeves, you can buy light up sleeves on ebay,but i think yours is so much better! (either way i cant buy them on ebay since idont have paypal XD)
and anyway, You Look AMAZING!!! i know why dont you do a picture in your room with the lights turned off so they glow that your sleeves and headpones glow

I used a vest pattern for the top that I altered and lengthened. The top is silver stretch PVC line with a non-stretchy material.

Are you sure you don't do commissions? Your outfit is the best I can find and all the other sites have crappy ones compared to yours... And if I would try to sew this myself I would probably mess it up and have to buy new fabric enough times to buy a car. T-T
