Okay, so I am freaking impressed with myself for this! Both the time it took (not very), and the overall finished product. Everything just flowed so well while making this, even the background, and I don't know why... but whatever muse struck me, I'm glad.Not trying to sound egotistical or anything, but I absolutely love this piece.
Plus, Daze. He's my favorite so I love it even more. :3
Also this was based off of one of the opening scenes in Pitch Black (which is my favorite movie at the moment).
I originally sketched it out as an homage to Riddick, and his ability to find his way out of impossible scenarios. I mean seriously, anyone who can repeatedly take the blows society throws, and then have the strength and courage to not only walk away again, and again, but to fight back and win... that person is a hero in my book.
So yeah, that was my intention, but then this sort of took on a life of it's own. I guess the inspiration can still be seen (if you're familiar with the movie) but... whatever. In my opinion it's awesome no matter how you look at it.

It's very life like. The shading helps support that statement. o.0; It scares me...maybe because I'm not use to the whole bondage idea.

Haha I can't believe I didn't see the Pitch Black thing there... (And I've watched it four times in the last 48 hours.XD) Anyyyway! I figured this was awesome when I saw the thumbnail and that makes it more so. I like it.^^(Anything with a character bound, beaten, dead, or dying, I tend to like. That's how this caught my eye.X3) Anyway again!

Aaah, this is such an awesome piece!
I love the lighting in it and, though it is so simple, it gives off a lot of emotion.
